What to Expect
Begin your Natural History Hike with a 7 AM pickup at Ojochal. You’ll journey into primary rainforest trails led by a certified naturalist, learning about the region’s unique plants, birds, and insects.
Trek gently uphill through moss-draped trees, spotting howler monkeys, toucans, and vibrant orchids along the way. Your guide will explain the rainforest’s layers, ecological relationships, and the geology beneath your feet.
Mid-hike, enjoy a riverside snack break—fresh tropical fruit & juice—while listening for the calls of the forest. Then continue through a shaded ravine before looping back.
You’ll be returned to your hotel by 11 AM, having gained a deeper appreciation for Costa Rica’s natural heritage.
